Michelyve Allen, M.A., CCC-SLP is a pediatric speech-language pathologist. She was inspired to write this story after hearing the things her students "couldn't do." Bam is the first book in the Why Not Me Animal Series and he represents students who are able to do anything that they put their heart and mind to.

The Bam Speech & Language workbook is designed to be used alongside the book to address common speech-language and articulation goals. As a bonus, it includes a wordless copy of the Bam story for narrative language activities and language sampling.
I purchased the wordless edition of Bam the Tiny Brave Elephant tonight and shared it with my children at bedtime. They loved it! They took turns imagining, describing, and building the story together. The illustrations are vivid and full of feeling. Such a thoughtful, engaging book for connection and creativity. Obsessed with this book!!! My 4-month-old absolutely loves BAM!! He’s so engaged with the pages and we love reading this book over and over! The illustrations are beautiful and vibrant, and the story is so heartwarming. You can really feel the care and effort the author Michelyve puts into creating this book – the quality of both the material and the content is top-notch. It’s clear she took her time to make sure every detail was perfect. We truly enjoy every moment spent with this book, and it’s definitely become a favorite in our household. Highly recommend!!
